Aarakshan means Reservation New film casting Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone ,Directed by Prakash Jha, the film is a socio-political drama based on caste and for them special reservation in government jobs and educational institutions. Prof. Prabhakar Anand (Amitabh Bachchan) is playing role of Professor name is Prbhakar Anand & also idealistic principal of a college. He help us those student who are financially weak without any hesitate about caste those who are from Dalits ( Schedule Caste) He runs special coaching classes at his house free of cost for the needy students. He has a also good relation with Saif Ali Khan who playing role of Deepak Kumar , who soon starts teaching in his college as a stop-gap arrangement before he goes away to America.. & Deepika Padukone known is this film as Poorbi Anand is, daughter of Prabhakar Poorbi and Deepak love with each other and (Prateek Babbar) playing role of Sushant Seth who is from belongs to the high caste and rich class, is also a student of the same college.
Because of quota system which is upheld by Supreme Court of the government, there is tension in the college between students of the economically backward classes, who will stand to gain because of the quota policy, and of the affluent class. This reservation policy is beneficiary for schedule caste comparatively more merit-worthy. Critical situation shown in this film to control this situation ,Mithilesh Singh (Manoj Bajpai) who is VP of his collage call the police. Something that doesn’t go down well with Anand. This is all caste based on education system.
Due to this topical issues has been banned in UP State. The decision to ban the film was taken after prolonged discussion and debate on the movie after it was viewed by a high-level committee of top officials of the state.”After the high level committee watched the movie , they declared that several dialogues need to exchanged between the characters is provocative and it will disturb the peace .
Now Film Director Prakash Jha ready to make changes in Dialog of Aarakshan. After the success of Gangajal , Apaharan and Rajniti, now the Time of Aarakshan.
Box office Review :-
As per rating this movie is average on Box office. Not so bored but not so much good. First half is better than second half. Shankar Mahadevan himself sung song Roshanee which falls in between. Music is also not so much became popular.
