CELEBRATING DHAI HANDI FESTIVAL BY SPANISH PEOPLE
On janmashtmi big Dahi Handi we seen at Thane broken by Spanish people. So much crowd of people are coming to watch Dahi Handi. On August 2011. 9.20 small girl from Spain, she was on top, to break this Handi. All Spanish people were in green T shirts, & red scarf on their head. Firstly she failed to do this, But in the second chance finally she has broke it. The people were so much enjoying the movement. Not only foreigners but also everybody enjoying this movement
Now a day Indian people as well as foreigner also like to celebrate this festival. Importance of Indian culture and festival has became world famous. Our India is based on our Indian culture. We know the value and importance of each and every festivals. All Indian with so much of excitement celebrative all festival. At Thane well known Tele vision artist some celebrates are always coming to watch this Dahi Handi And foreigner also coming but this time they jointly celebrate with us.
Two top most Dahi Handi was there one on the broken by Spain people and other one from our Mumbai Team. Confident of Spain people was amazing one by one almost 5 people standing each of them with perfect balance. It was such amazing . They shown us different type of human pyramid to us.
To other young man who form the pyramid up to eight level they got cash prize. Adventures s young men form a human pyramid up to eight to nine level trying to break the pot with the coconut. Onlookers throw water on the young men in order to prevent them from breaking the pot. Breaking of the pot is followed by prize distribution.
As we see that this year, the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation will promote Dahi Handi in a big way as a tourism event by taking domestic and foreign tourists to view the top Govinda celebrations.They will be taken around various Dahi Handis in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai which are known for building eight to nine level pyramids with huge prizes to be won.
Over the years, the Dahi Handi has been witnessing a gradual increase in prize money but this year, with most puja mandals raising it to double the amount offered last year.
A mandal in Wadgaon Sheri has announced Rs 12 lakh and another in Wagholi Rs 15 lakh for the group that breaks the pot of curd hung high. (Dahi Handi). We must watch next year what prize will announce by several mandal for yong youth group who break this Dahi Handi
